The first time I went to Alaska was on a trip to Sitka and Juneau to capture stills and video of the long line and frozen at sea salmon fishing while managing a digital transformation project with Seafood Producers Cooperative (SPC Sales). The family atmosphere of the SPC coop was unique in that there were multi-generational members involved from 7-89 years old. The digital creative work encompassed photography, video, interviews, cooperative and processing operating procedures and other cooperative functions. We also shot in studio for product shots and member interviews. There was also partnership coordination with Anthony’s restaurants. The footage was used on web, wholesale marketing, product sales, cooperative training, and consumer sales and marketing. Some of the footage was used for a Kroger salmon sustainability ad that went national. Video portfolios coming soon. In addition, I consulted and delivered web B2B/B2C websites, social promos including FaceBook contests, packaging, box, waste product optimization pathways and internal cooperative training and program materials. One of my hands down favorite parts of this multiyear project was being suited up in a steadicam in a dinghy behind a trawler in the tippy and frigid Alaskan ocean waters! Good times!
